The answer is, it depends. Structured water devices do soften water.
Some customers simply add the structured water device to their existing treatment system while others remove their softener after installing a structured water device.
If you already have a softener, we recommend you install your structured water device while bypassing your softener. This will allow you to test structuring by itself to determine if you still need a softener and give you the flexibility to turn the softener back on if necessary.
