What about Reverse Osmosis Water?

Updated on April 7, 2022

Reverse Osmosis (RO) is a very popular water “purification” process that removes several contaminants. However, this pressure-driven membrane process also strips water from its minerals. As a result, Reverse Osmosis water is basically a dead liquid.

We avoid Reverse Osmosis whenever possible. RO is a very intense process for water and it seems to create a more sterile and lifeless water. If you’d like to see for yourself, start a couple of seeds or water a couple of plants with reverse osmosis. Then also start some seeds with the most vibrant water you have access to, meaning tap or structured if you have it, to compare.

For a great alternative to RO water, see the Jivara Mountain Spring. You can see the chemistry based filter that is a part of the Jivara Mountain Spring here: https://thewellnessenterprise.com/product/best-water-filter-ever/. The replacement filters are $59. You can read all the details on the product page. The structured water device that is a part of the Jivara Mountain Spring does not need to be replaced – it is one time purchase.

You can also see this Youtube playlist to learn more about why we don’t recommend RO water.
